Vertical, not Lateral Trainer
As soon as I tried these on I liked them. This is a very light and comfortable shoe, but my size in this shoe was too large for my foot. Perhaps that is intended in the shoe's design to allow more freedom of movement in the toes and front of the foot, but no one likes the upper to buckle and deform when shoes are tied tightly to make up for looseness.
Also, this shoe is not for lateral training. I recommend this shoe if you are doing activities with more vertical movement like weight training, jumping, jump rope (I guess that's jumping, too), forward and aft movements, etc. I did not feel that this shoe had the strength or structure to stand up to lots of high-intensity lateral movement. For that, do your research and you'll probably end up with a Crossfit shoe.
What this shoe lacks in lateral strength it makes up for in ventilation, light weight, and comfort.
